Karuna Hatha Yoga is a blend of Iyengar, yin, anusara, flow and kundalini styles, tailored for beginning and intermediate yogis. Karuna is Sanskrit for “compassion,” and this style has a strong emphasis on listening to one’s body and never holding postures in a way that causes needless discomfort. It also emphasizes mindfulness techniques and Pantanjali’s 8 Limbs teachings.
